As the Practice Manager and Intake Coordinator at Embracing Joy, my goal is to help you feel supported from the very beginning. I’m here to walk you through what we offer and make sure you're connected with the therapist who’s the best fit for you. With over 20 years of experience in therapeutic settings, I truly understand how important it is to find care that feels personal, meaningful, and tailored to your unique needs. You're not just a name on a list — you're someone we genuinely want to support.

After reviewing the information below and you feel you are in alignment with our practice and what we can offer, please fill out the contact form. Based on the information provided, you will receive an email with possible next steps.

  1. Group Practice: We are a small specialized group practice and the intake call will match you with a therapist that is a good fit.
  2. Insurance: We are private pay and do not take insurance.
  3. Fees: Session rates range from $175–$375, depending on the therapist and other specifics.
  4. Location: Based on state registration requirements, we can only work with clients who reside in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. We offer in person in NYC and virtual in NY, NJ or CT. - Telehealth services are available only to clients who are physically located in a state where the treating clinician is registered/licensed at the time of session.
  5. Commitment: We recommend weekly sessions for the first few months to help you build momentum and reach your goals more effectively.
  6. Scope of Services: We are not a fit for clients who are currently in the process of or seeking separation/divorce or involved in legal matters related to custody or separation. We do not provide recommendations, documentation, or support for legal proceedings. We are also not a fit for those struggling with addictions.
  7. Safety: We are also not the appropriate fit for those currently experiencing—or who have recently experienced—acute mental health crises or have a severe mental illness.
